The Challenge —
The Land Project reimagines protecting and preserving land across regions such as Patagonia, Lapland, and Wyoming. Rather than promoting traditional land ownership, the initiative enables people to sponsor a 3m² plot in the world’s most spectacular locations. contributing to their preservation and responsible management.
The Land Project required a brand identity with longevity — one capable of inspiring early engagement through social platforms, while evolving into a credible, enduring presence as the organisation grows and deepens its partnerships across regions.
The Approach —
A unique business with little competition requires a different approach. We immersed ourselves in the audience mindset and desire. We wanted to focus on the endless opportunities and scope that travel and exploration presents.
Our brand narrative reflected this emotion and passion, creating a desire for unique experiences, that would convert intrigue and imagination into an affordable purchase. Ultimately creating a commercially viable solution for the brand.
The Solution —
Our Land Squared concept is inspired by the division of land into 3m squares, using this as the basis for the logo and graphic language. The typography is intentionally bold, giving weight to the identity within the confines of the grid.
The identity is developed around a flexible grid, which informs every layout, to deeply root the concept of dividing land into squares. We also utilise an image treatment, breaking images down using a square grid. It represents each individual plot being different, despite coming from the same land. The colour palette includes vibrant green shades inspired by the phosphorescent navigational hands of a compass, integral for the brands stand-out on start-up platforms.
We brought the Land Squared concept to life online through bold typography and grid-based motion.
