The challenge —
Liberty Global, a $4bn revenue broadband and mobile group operating across Europe under brands Virgin Media O2, Vodafone and Telenet, planned to launch a new business. The idea was to leverage its experience in back-office business solutions, to free-up customer teams so they could do what they do best and focus on growth.
The solution —
We built the idea into a positioning that would form the basis of the new brand – ‘Freedom to grow’. Growth led to a brand-led name, Blume, and a distinctive visual identity that works well with the other Liberty brands. The impression is of a dynamic, contemporary brand that can stand-out in the congested B2B services market.
The big idea —
Creating freedom for business to grow.
The design system is built around a set of distinctive brand assets. The combination of fonts, graphics, vignettes, images and colour provides the basis for a consistent, yet dynamic identity. The brand is powerful on- and off-line, and further brought to life using animation to supporting digital communications.
The visual identity and brand assets were developed to provide maximum flexibility, allowing Liberty Blume to present more or less personality depending on context. The use of bold colour, graphic imagery, expressive typography and an emotive tone of voice support Liberty Blume in connecting with diverse clients across multiple sectors.
Liberty Blume are rethinking the conventions of global business services, using tech-enabled solutions that deliver efficiency, scale and value for their customers.
To support their digital proposition we developed a custom, fully responsive website and CMS that is agile enough to scale and flex with the needs of the business.
Two new offices, in City Square, Leeds and Kings Cross, London, compliment Liberty Blume’s ambitious growth objectives. To ensure all colleagues are immersed and connected with the brand we developed, signage, wayfinding and interior graphics, throughout the workspaces, that will help foster creativity, collaboration and innovation.
Liberty Blume made its debut at an internal launch conference, held in London’s Soho House Hotel. We supported throughout, providing keynote presentations for the leadership team, a brand film, and coveted branded merchandise for 1,000 colleagues.
