The Tower Works community
For MONO, when a new Sardinian restaurant called DOMO opens just around the corner, it would have been rude not to pay them a visit.
We rounded up the team, wandered a across the square from our studio in Tower Works, and settled in for an evening of very good food, great company and the inevitable debate about whether our names being one letter apart was a sign we should come here more often.
4 letter words aside, it’s another reminder of why we love being based here.
Tower Works has always had character. Its industrial heritage gives it a unique identity (more to come on that), but over the last few years the area has really come into its own. Independent cafés, bars, restaurants and creative businesses continue to pop up, creating a genuine sense of community that makes it a brilliant place to work. Right on the canal side, 2 mins walk to Granary Wharf and slap bang behind Leeds station, it couldn’t be better placed.
Great places don’t happen by accident. They’re built by the people and businesses that choose to be part of them, and the stories that unfold over time. It’s exciting to see Tower Works and Mustard Wharf evolving while still holding onto everything that makes it distinctive.
Supporting local businesses is a small thing that makes a big difference. Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, meetings over lunch or celebrating as a team at somewhere like DOMO, we’re fortunate to have so many brilliant independents on our doorstep.
Here’s to seeing Tower Works continue to grow—and to welcoming more great neighbours along the way.
Next team social has to be at NONO Wine bar! There’s a theme emerging here…
